#007: Nineteen-Ninety-Eight

A fondly remembered holiday.

The Holiday reprieve is ending, and as a result, I am too busy to even turn around. Feel free to pull up a chair, though. How's your twenty-twelve, so far? Oh my god. I'm sorry.

The trees visible from my studio's balcony are still bare, naked tubes of gray, but the grass beneath is verdant: a splash of early spring. For me, this weather conjures images of flushed cheeks, good books and bicycles: pleasant things, all, when they arrive in their usual hours and courses. However, the bite in the wind is a warning: no moment can be totally benign. Join us next time, February 1st, 2012, as a single night is lived by Zayo and Babyfayce, in calm and violence, with good art all the while. The strip is "I'm Still Awake," and in my opinion, it represents a new direction for the series - and not in the dismal, "cousin Oliver" sense. Hope you're willing to navigate it with me.

Sincerely,
